Our Team

Akshara is a researcher and professional overthinker. At PC-PIC, she works across research, documentation, reports, and communications. She is interested in governance, evidence, the distance between policy on paper and people’s lives in practice, and what happens when institutional logic encounters an actual human being. Firmly of the view that documents should have page numbers, she is less fond of jargon and unnecessary meetings. But quite fond of well-placed commas and firmly opposed to using twelve words where six will do.

Aparajitha is a long-time student of politics, interested in experimenting at the intersection of theory and praxis. Her research explorations move across feminist literature, people’s cultural politics, material history, and critical caste studies. She has a particular talent for getting waylaid by long, winding sentences. She considers herself firmly part of the oral history tradition, where animated conversations over chai come considerably more easily than writing a paper
